Several members of AACCM participated in a pavilion exhibit during the Ceramics Expo held in Cleveland, Ohio in April 2015. Some other members participated with their own booths at the Expo. AACCM also held a general business meeting during that week since so many members were in town for the Expo.
The Expo was coordinated by the American Ceramic Society and was a first-time event in North America to showcase a range of ceramic and glass materials and components for a myriad of applications, connecting industry buyers with ceramic specialists. AACCM members were pleased with the results.
During the AACCM business meeting, members heard committee updates and learned about the Ceramics Expo and other ACerS initiatives from ACerS management. A representative from Custom Processing Services gave a brief overview of his company’s contract manufacturing services for particle size reduction and other powder processing services. The members also participated in a trip to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in lieu of the traditional membership meeting dinner. Options for the fall membership meeting were discussed; details will be conveyed to members when plans are confirmed.
